IBM and Wipro have decided to broaden their collaboration, aiming to provide enhanced support to clients by offering innovative AI services. The companies plan to set up a centralized technology hub that will aid their clients in mastering AI.

Wipro, a prominent technology services and consulting firm, recently introduced a new AI-ready platform. This platform empowers clients to construct fully customizable AI environments using IBM's WatsonX program, thereby promoting the adoption of Generative AI. According to an IBM press release, this platform was developed as part of an extended multi-year partnership between IBM and Wipro. The industry expertise of Wipro coupled with IBM's AI innovation will be leveraged to facilitate the implementation of reliable AI solutions.

The new platform is designed to equip the companies' clients with the necessary infrastructure and core software for implementing AI workloads, including code-based configurations. It will also have the potential to assist specialized industries such as banking, retail, health, energy, and manufacturing. In addition to this, the partnership aims at training Wipro associates in using IBM's hybrid cloud and data analytics technologies. The collaborative journey of these two companies began in 2020 when they assisted Wipro customers in utilizing a hybrid cloud for business application migration and management.

Jo Debecker, Managing Partner & Global Head at Wipro FullStride Cloud said: "This expanded partnership with IBM combines our deep contextual cloud, AI, and industry expertise with IBM’s leading AI innovation capabilities." He added: "The solutions we are creating as part of this partnership will help enterprises achieve new levels of flexibility when building their own enterprise-specific AI ecosystems. Our goal is to make AI consumption as efficient, agile, reliable, and sustainable as possible—ultimately helping advance the adoption of enterprise-level AI."
