Sean Thompson, Vice President of Information Technology at the fast-casual franchise Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, praised the AI application Olive as a valuable tool for managing restaurant operations. He stated that Olive offers the "best solution" in navigating "the chaos" of such tasks. Thompson made this statement to Business Daily on March 21.

"Two things stick out for me – the continued progression of RTN as the more standardization we can get, the easier this management process becomes AND of course our friends at Olive who give companies not just a way to find the best solution but also to manage the chaos of that management process," said Thompson.

Thompson expressed these views after attending the Multi-Unit Restaurant Technology Conference (MURTEC), which took place from March 11 to 13 in Las Vegas. Olive was one of the vendors participating in this event.

As per MURTEC's website, the conference aims to connect restaurant executives with the latest technological solutions in their industry. The March conference provided networking opportunities with tech vendors and included breakout sessions and presentations by hospitality tech experts.

"My biggest challenge is making sure I know about and leverage every tool that can help serve our guests and make our business more profitable," Thompson said. "The restaurant technology space is only getting more and more complicated as time moves on and I greatly cherish the partnerships and tools that help manage that from a big picture perspective."

According to LinkedIn, Thompson joined Freddy's as an IT manager in 2015 and has held his current position as VP of IT since January 2023. Prior to this, he founded SeanPT, a company providing IT support for businesses for over two decades. He also co-founded Flint Hills Logic.
