Reid from New York shared the story of his cat Giles, who had a mishap under a sofa bed, saying, “Something has happened, and we're really sorry, but [Giles] got trapped under the couch.” Fortunately, Giles received the necessary care and Reid mentioned, “He did need some stitches … but he was the model patient.”

Kaitlyn, who is a colleague of Reid, mentioned that their workplace offered Nationwide pet insurance as a voluntary benefit. This decision was made after a costly visit to the vet, and Kaitlyn stated, “Their Nationwide pet insurance plan covered Giles’s sofa bed mishap injuries.”

Melissa Lovely, the Vice President of Sales at Nationwide, highlighted the importance of pet insurance due to rising pet care costs, stating, “Per the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, inflation in the cost of veterinary services has risen from historical averages of 3-5% per year to 9-11% per year during the past two years. This amplifies the need for families to ensure they are well-protected in times of need.”

Clarissa Klomparens, the Associate Vice President of Pet Product at Nationwide, emphasized the need for customizable pet insurance plans, saying, “Nationwide developed our modular pet insurance product to allow pet families to customize the pet insurance plan to meet their particular needs.”

Dr. Jules Benson, the Chief Veterinary Officer at Nationwide, mentioned the various benefits offered to pet insurance members, including VetHelpline®, Pet HealthZone®, and Pet RxExpress program, stating, “By offering services like Pet RxExpress, the VetHelpline, and the Pet HealthZone, we’re broadening opportunities to meet pet families where they are, offering simple, convenient ways to support their pets’ health and wellbeing.”

J.J. Perez, the President of Corporate Solutions at Nationwide, reassured customers about the company's commitment to pet insurance, saying, “Despite the recent headwinds the pet insurance industry has been facing, Nationwide is unwavering in its commitment to our pet insurance customers and business.”

Nationwide encourages individuals to visit their website, www.petinsurance.com, for more information on pet insurance plans tailored to their needs.
