Carmel, Indiana had a population of 88,595 people in 2017, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Indiana Business Daily.

The median age was 39, with 51.6 percent of the total population being female and 48.4 percent male.

The state’s total population in 2017 was 6,614,418.
