Graduates earn 94 degrees, certificates from Fortis College-Indianapolis


About 78.7 percent of the 94 degrees and certificates handed out by Fortis College-Indianapolis in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Indianapolis conferred 42 certificates and 32 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 32 associate's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 32 certificates in medical/clinical assistant and 20 certificates in heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration maintenance technology/technician.

The college enrolled 334 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
