Graduates earn 5,736 degrees, certificates from Ball State University


About 30.7 percent of the 5,736 degrees and certificates handed out by Ball State University in 2017-18 were to students in education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Muncie conferred 1100 master's degrees and 362 certificates in education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in education/teaching of individuals with autism. Data shows the school gave out 714 master's degrees in education/teaching of individuals with autism, followed by 241 bachelor's degrees in digital communication and media/multimedia and 212 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies.

The university enrolled 22,513 students for 2017-18, including 17,004 in undergraduate programs and 5,509 in graduate programs.
