Anderson University issued the following announcement on April 8

On Thursday, April 4, Anderson University hosted its fourth-annual day of giving event, Orange & Black Give Back. This year, 862 donors gave more than $153,000. Of those who gave, more than 250 were faculty and staff members and more than 170 were students.

Orange & Black Give Back is a 16-hour, high-energy viral giving experience fueled through social media. The primary goal of the day was donor participation, not the dollar amount. Gifts were made to the AU Student Fund to provide much-needed scholarship and grant funds. Donors also had the option to direct their funds elsewhere, such as specific departments, sports teams, etc.

Anderson University alumni and friends connected with the university and with each other primarily on social media using #AUGiveBack. Activities from that day can be viewed at anderson.edu/give-back.

The university’s initial goal was to reach 700 donors. That goal was easily surpassed by the end of the night. All of campus is so thankful to the donors who gave to AU as they are transforming lives and making a difference for current and future AU students!students gathered together in Reardon Auditorium for a donor photo
